Documentation Tool — Not a Certification Service
RecordLog is a personal photo documentation tool. It records, organises, and exports structured photo records. It does not certify, assess, or formally validate any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional inspections or formal assessments by qualified individuals or authorities.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using RecordLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. RecordLog reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. What RecordLog Is
RecordLog is a camera app with SHA-256 photo hashing, GPS and timestamp tagging, and PDF export. It helps you capture, organise, and export structured photo records for any asset or situation. Common uses include properties, vehicles, equipment, medical documentation, storage units, site conditions, and more. Where enabled, GPS tagging and server-side timestamps provide additional metadata.
RecordLog is not:
- A certification or professional inspection service
- A substitute for legal or professional advice
- A guarantee of accuracy or suitability for any purpose
- An endorsement of any claim made using exported records
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. RecordLog reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use RecordLog legally and responsibly. You must not:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Upload harmful code, malware, or spam
- Attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with the App
- Interfere with the security or performance of RecordLog
- Misrepresent the source or authenticity of records
RecordLog may restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
5. Your Content and Records
You retain ownership of the photos and data captured using RecordLog. By using the App, you grant RecordLog a limited licence to process, store, and export your records solely to provide the App's features. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to capture and store any photos, data, or information.
You are solely responsible for the content you capture, upload, or export. RecordLog does not claim any ownership of your content.
6. Data Handling and Storage
RecordLog processes and stores data to provide core features, including timestamps, GPS tagging where enabled, and exports. Some data may be stored on our servers to enable features and reliability. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for backing up your records.
RecordLog will not sell your personal data. We will only use your data as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-Party Services
RecordLog may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, crash reporting, payments, and other features. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. RecordLog is not responsible for the practices or availability of third-party services.
App Store, Google Play, and other platform providers are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to your use of RecordLog.
8. Disclaimers
RecordLog is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your specific requirements.
RecordLog does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any records captured, stored, or exported using the App.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RecordLog and its directors, employees, and partners are not liable for any:
- Loss or damage arising from use or inability to use the App
- Inaccurate GPS data or timestamps
- Reliance placed on exported PDFs or stored records
- Data loss resulting from account deletion or service interruption
10. Professional Advice
RecordLog is a camera app. It does not certify, validate, or provide professional opinion on anything you photograph. For any matter requiring formal assessment or professional opinion — legal, medical, insurance, or otherwise — seek advice from a qualified professional independent of RecordLog.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from use of RecordLog will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
